The complexity of organic farming requires farmers to have a very high level of knowledge and skills. However, exchange on organic farming techniques remains limited. The web-based platform Organic Farm Knowledge promotes the exchange of knowledge among farmers, farm advisers and scientists.
The platform offers practical testing videos and all other type of materials for arable farmers in the following topics:
- Soil quality and fertility
- Crop production
- Food chain management
- Environment and society
- Farm management
- Animal husbandry
At the end of 2018, a new version of the platform was launched. During the course of the RELACS project, the project deliverables will be made available on www.organic-farmknowledge.org.
The web-based platform Organic Farm Knowledge – aimed at filling the gap in the exchange of information between farmers across Europe – was launched in October 2016 within the OK-Net Arable project.
